Ingredients
  

Pears
  • 4 medium ripe pears Bartlett or Bosc work well
Toppings
  • 4 oz goat cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup honey for drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts optional

Method
 

Prepare the Pears
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the pears in half and remove the cores.
  2. Place the pear halves cut side up in a baking dish.
Add Toppings
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the goat cheese, dried cranberries, and cinnamon (if using).
  2. Spoon the goat cheese mixture into the hollowed-out centers of the pear halves.
  3. Drizzle honey over the stuffed pears.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the pears are tender.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Serve
  1. Garnish with chopped walnuts if desired and serve warm.
