Ingredients
  

Beef
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast trimmed of excess fat
Sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Toppings
  • 4 buns burger buns for serving
  • 1 cup coleslaw for topping

Method
 

Prepare the Beef
  1. Trim excess fat from the beef chuck roast and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the beef in the crockpot.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Pour the sauce over the beef in the crockpot.
Cook
  1. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Serve
  1. Shred the beef using two forks and mix with the sauce.
  2. Serve on buns with coleslaw if desired.
