Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans peaches in syrup drained
  • 1 cup sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained peaches, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
  3. Pour the batter over the peach filling in the baking dish.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
