Ingredients
  

  • 1 package Store-Bought Puff Pastry
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Fresh Cherries Pitted and chopped
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 large Egg Beaten for egg wash

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven according to puff pastry package instructions.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares.
  3. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
  5. Add chopped cherries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pinwheel shape.
  7. Brush the top of each pastry with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for the time specified on the puff pastry package, or until golden brown.
