- Preheat oven according to puff pastry package instructions.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
- Add chopped cherries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pinwheel shape.
- Brush the top of each pastry with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for the time specified on the puff pastry package, or until golden brown.
