Ingredients
  

Churro Dough
  • 1 cup water for boiling
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Frying
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly, then mix in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
Fry the Churros
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  3. Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them to desired length.
  4. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Coat the Churros
  1. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Roll the hot churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
