Ingredients
  

Flank Steak
  • 1 pound flank steak trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for marinating
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
Burrata and Pesto
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese fresh
  • 1 cup basil pesto store-bought or homemade
Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze for drizzling

Method
 

Prepare the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the flank steak.
  3. Let the steak marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Grill the Steak
  1. Place the marinated flank steak on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  2. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C).
  3. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assemble the Dish
  1. Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
  2. On a serving platter, arrange the sliced steak, dollops of burrata, and drizzle with pesto.
  3. Garnish with chopped basil and balsamic glaze before serving.
