Ingredients
  

Plantains
  • 2 large ripe plantains peeled and sliced
Cream Mixture
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream for a dairy-free option
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon for sprinkling
  • 1 tablespoon toasted nuts optional, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Plantains
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, add the sliced plantains.
  2. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and caramelized.
Make the Cream Mixture
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine and Serve
  1. Once the plantains are cooked, transfer them to a serving dish and drizzle the cream mixture over the top.
  2. Sprinkle with cinnamon and toasted nuts if desired. Serve warm.

Notes
