Ingredients
  

Fruit
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and mashed
Sugar
  • 4 cups granulated sugar adjust to taste
Pectin
  • 1 box fruit pectin such as Sure-Jell
Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Method
 

Prepare Strawberries
  1. Wash, hull, and mash the strawberries in a mixing bowl until you have about 2 cups of mashed fruit.
Mix Ingredients
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the mashed strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir well and let sit for 10 minutes.
Add Pectin
  1. Stir in the fruit pectin until fully dissolved.
Pack and Store
  1. Pour the jam into clean jars or containers, leaving some space at the top. Seal and freeze immediately.
