Ingredients
  

Salmon
  • 4 fillets salmon skin-on or skinless
Marinade
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
  • 1 lemon lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour before grilling.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, olive oil, garlic, black pepper, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in the marinade and let them marinate for 15-30 minutes.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Remove the cedar plank from the water and place it on the grill for 3-5 minutes until it begins to smoke.
  3. Place the marinated salmon fillets on the cedar plank and close the grill lid.
  4. Grill for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Remove the cedar plank from the grill and let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serving
  1. Garnish the salmon with fresh dill and serve with lemon wedges.
